Ministries & Events

Our Social Action Ministries step out into different communities of the Chicago land area.  As part of our commitment we continue to ask the question, what are we being called to do?  We hold regular meetings to explore and implement these callings. Here are some of our outreach programs:

Share Food Share Love Food Pantry — We are a partner with Share Food, Share Love Food Pantry located at 9030 Brookfield Ave in Brookfield..  They serve the residents of Brookfield, LaGrange Park, Lyons, North Riverside and Riverside with food assistance.  The people of Holy Covenant MCC donate money and toiletries to help those in need in our community through this cause. The money that is collected is used to purchase food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository which includes fresh fruit, vegetable and sometimes meat. We also volunteer to work there on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. If you are in the area, you may call 630.347.5390, www.sharefoodsharelove.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sharefoodsharelove for assistance information. The food pantry is open Tuesday evenings 7:00pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday mornings 10:00am to 12:00pm.
