About Us

About Us

Holy Covenant MCC is an open and affirming Christian community of faith that has been serving the Chicagoland area since March 30, 1975. We celebrate our call to embody the spirit of hospitality. It is in this spirit that we welcome people of all genders, races, sexual orientations, gender identities, ages and socio-economic means to participate in the full life and ministry of our church.

We explore our faith in a safe, non-judgmental environment. We celebrate the contributions of Christianity and other faith traditions to our understanding and experience of the Divine, Just, and Creative Presence many call “God.”

The Worship Team nurtures the corporate worship life of our congregation as inspiring, celebratory, and centered on the faithful proclamation of Scripture and communion celebration. We celebrate an open communion, which means you do not have to be a member of Holy Covenant or any other church to participate. Everyone is welcome to the table with whatever beliefs or doubts they may have.

Our Sunday worship service is held at 10:00 a.m., followed by our social hour which includes food and invigorating conversation.

Our beautiful chapel-style sanctuary is perfect for weddings, vows renewal and memorial services. Should you be interested in holding one of these events at Holy Covenant, please contact the church office for full details at 708-387-1611. If you would like to make a donation to our church please click the "Giving" tab.

Holy Covenant MCC is part of Metropolitan Community Churches, an International Christian denomination representing approximately 300 congregations. We provide a home to all who are seeking to discover and express their unique spiritual journey
